Ben has written and arranged music for a multitude of media, and a broad range of clients including contributing music to the recent Apple TV hit Ted Lasso. In the concert hall his work has been commissioned and performed by orchestras all over the world. As composer, arranger, & musical director commercial clients include British Airways, Coca Cola, Suzuki, Ford, Volkswagen, Audi, Cartier, Nescafé Gold Blend and Nescafé Original, Nestlé, Domino's, Lynx/Axe, Barclays Bank, Barclaycard, Robinson's, Tango, British Gas/Transco, The AA, BBC Sport, BBC Idents, BBC website, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Robinsons, Aviva/Norwich Union, Gordons Gin, Freixenet, Brut, Madame Tussauds, KPMG, and commercials for many magazine titles.
He has also worked with an array of performers from the worlds of rock, pop, jazz and world music, musical theatre, and early music, and many crossover artists including recent collaborations with the multi-talented Jacob Collier. Arrangements and collaborations have included figures from all musical styles – from Errol Brown of Hot Chocolate to Cliff Richard, from Snow Patrol to So Solid Crew, Heather Small (of M People Fame) to Dame Edna Everage, performance poet/DJ James Massiah to providing arrangements and conducting for Royal Wedding celebrations at Windsor Castle. He has worked extensively in live events, television and film, in vision and behind the scenes as coach and/or musical director with a huge array of artists such as Dame Julie Walters, Leslie Philips, Mark Williams, Rob Brydon, Harry Hill, Paul Merton, Sian Phillips, S Club 7, Ed Byrne, Julian Clary, Ronnie Corbett, Griff Rhys Jones, Denise van Outen, Richard Wilson, Alexander Armstrong, Ben Miller, Frank Skinner, Martin Clunes, Patsy Kensit, Samantha Womack, Harry Enfield, Ralf Little, Lisa Riley, Meera Syal, Jessica Hynes, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Lee Mack, Ali Bastian, Debra Stephenson, Adrian Edmondson, Neil Morrisey, Morwenna Banks, and Chris Evans. A particular highlight in his non-classical work was the endorsement that he played like an angel from the legend that is Dolly Parton!
